The P837 Hangar delivers a much-needed facility for maintenance of the C-40 Navy Airlift Aircraft fleet stationed at Oceana and other Naval Air Stations.
Primary components included design and construction of a new 61,000 SF aircraft hangar with associated support infrastructure, as well as paving of taxiways and parking. Site preparation was key due to the high activity of the air station. Design and construction of new utility infrastructure to serve the new hangar and future development also took place.
This project yielded three consecutive Quarterly Safety Award from the NAVFAC Safety Department.
