Hourigan Construction

Hourigan delivered design/build services for Dominion Resources to construct their new Northern Virginia Operations Center. The project scope included full build-out of the existing 100,000 SF spec building to Dominion's specific requirements. The Design-Build team successfully delivered the project within the 5-month duration stipulated by Dominion.

The project required minor demolition of core and shell walls and partial floor areas, excavation and erection of a new elevator, redundant air handling units, computer room air conditioning units, UPS power source, emergency power generator and general office finishes. An extensive data/communications room was added to support Dominion's Regional Operations Center – a 24/7 operation to monitor and control the electric transmission grid for the region.
