E. Claiborne Robins Stadium
InstitutionalSports + Entertainment
The conversion of the existing track and field stadium into the E. Claiborne Robins Stadium complex required creative solutions to significant logistical issues including the preservation of the oldest tree on campus to overhang the grandstand.
In keeping with the University’s goal to maintain sustainable environments and buildings, this project was designed and constructed to obtain LEED Silver certification. While maintaining access to the track and field, the scope entailed extensive site and hardscape improvements, demolition of existing concrete bleachers, constructing NCAA-level Grandstands, stadium lighting and sound system, Club and Press Levels and event areas.
The project was completed two months ahead of kick-off.
